One of the greatest films ever made!

Superb Academy Award-nominated performances from both Jon Voight (for Best Actor) and Eric Roberts (for Best Supporting Actor)! And the ending is truly unforgettable! I'm hoping MGM will announce this for Blu-ray ASAP!

Hate to spoil the fun, but this is a pretty deep catalog title. I'd be very surprised if this came out any time in the near future.

That ending is haunting.One of my absolute favourite movies.Remember when it was released,it showed on the biggest theater here in oslo,Norway and I thought it was just an artsy-fartsy movie.Still regret not going then

Great movie but with dismal box office sales it may not be coming any time soon.

I just watched my DVD copy of Runaway Train a few weeks ago. I think it is a very good movie and would look good and sound AWESOME on Blu-Ray. Perhaps in a couple of more years when Blu-ray players are in most homes....(fingers crossed for this release)

Just bumpin this to say this is second on my wish list. Hopefully we'll see it soon. The crappy, OOP, non-anamorphic DVDs are pulling in $30 on Amazon, so there are obviously fans of this out there.

Been waiting for years for this. Never get tired of seeing it. Yeah, that last image brings me to tears when I think about it. It could be interpreted many ways but to me it's the human spirit never giving up no matter what. Track 16 on the LaLaLand OST is the music that accompanies this last scene and is the reason I purchased the disc, it's that ....... I don't know the word to describe it. Also brings tears to my eyes when I play it and put the image to it. If I could choose one piece of music to play at my funeral this would be it, others probably would think it's too much of a downer but I don't. Most emotional piece of music I've ever heard.
