Then I only need the Integras remote to press play or change tracks.
This is the remote I use it is amazing. Controls lights all equipment IR & RF but was a pain to link together. But it uses the same interface on PC as the Harmony. It is the first time I had a remote that truly controls everything. Only thing it cant get me a beer but it can open it.

I bought mine at 79.99 so it does go on sale. It lets you do 8 devices in IR with each extender so at 79.99 I bought two sets. So I can do 16 devices on IR. The thing that is also good you can due unlimited devices on it. I am up to 27 on Harmony you can do 15. If you look at my gallery you will see why I need Two.

No, but if she asks I wont turn her down. She is just one of my close friends - the one who keeps me in my place.

You and I are in the same boat, and this is how I feel too. Just have to find that common ground for both.

I sometimes do not want any of my subs on for music, and sometimes I do.

True. 1.8 Mk IIs to the Mirages. If I had the perfect (read: large) room, I'd probably stick with the Mirages. They're so placement and equipment sensitive, however. I'm getting a pair of GE Triton Threes in soon. If I like them, I'll probably sell my 28s and grab the Triton Twos or, god willing, Triton Ones which I'm sure they'll come out with at some point.

As for Goat re: theater, nah. Not only does my equipment change too regularly to make it worthwhile, but my system is two channel only, which most people on here don't have too much interest in.

There are some, not many that are into their 2-ch rigs. I would love to have 2 seperate systems, but I cannot, so my 2-ch and HT is in one setup. however last night with the wife at her moms with the kids for the night, I got to rock out all night long. I love that Dynaudio bass... cant believe you found them analytical.... have you reviewed, heard the X12 that your site reviewed?? What about the question above regarding the Naim, have you heard or reviewed any?

What does your 2-ch setup consist of?

Maybe, but this site doesn't need anymore web traffic. I'd rather direct people to the site I write for...

As for callas, in retrospect I think I found the Dyns analytical because of its accompanying equipment: a Krell KAV-300il (almost identical to the newer 400xi) and Benchmark DAC1 USB. The Benchmark is a cool customer, the Krell is a bit of one too. My hearing that is likely the result of the Dyns being neutral and passing the upstream colorations on. I still have both of those pieces as my "reference gear." As for the X12 and Naim, I've heard neither, sorry. Heard great things about the little Dyns, and I definitely still have a soft spot for them. I may well wind up with another pair at some point. Naim has a good reputation from what I understand, but looking purely at the specs and price on the Nait 5i, I would suspect there are other, newer options that will get you similar performance, if not better, for the same amount of money. Peachtree's Nova comes to mind. Sorry for not being more helpful...

Heard the RX6s, BX5s and BX Center today, good speakers.

The BX5s were nice from the mids up, they were pretty clean and clear, watched part of Avatar on them. The little BX Sub was kicking out all the bass tho. Im not sure if the speakers were setup right or not, but if they were, then Id say they lack the bottom end that their are spec'd to reproduce. However the sound was pretty smooth and nice and from both the center channel and speakers.

The RX6s were great, nice and smooth sounding, they had good mid-range, on par with the PSB T6 and Energy V6.3 they were next too. I thought that they were the most neutral of the 3 speakers, the Veritas the more aggressive and the PSBs the most laidback sounding of the group. Bass was as good as it always is; tight and fast, thumpy, it was what I expected from MA, but not over done. The bass on the RX6s is what was missing from the BX5s. My sales rep(the one that works for me, not the store rep) was even saying that he couldnt believe that the $1250 RX6s were performing at the same level as the $2200 V6.3s, giving up cabinet size and an extra driver. On thing i liked most about the RX6s was when compared to the RS6s, the older model, the newer model was smoother on the top end, where the RSs could sound a little bright, the RXs were nice and smooth and airy.

Hello friends,

As a former owner of RS-6's and a present owner of several RX's, including the RX6's, I need to mention that all MA speakers must have their tweeters all at ear height for maximum sonic benefit. So, with this caveat, the RX series potentially may fair FAR better comparatively.

I also agree that the entire line of RX's (except the sub) are significantly more refined in everyway over the RS series.

My RX-6's are at 102cm or 40'' and my RX-Center height is 100cm. There is a huge difference in top end clarity, the mid band, low end bass and an even more extended open sound stage. The point being having the tweeters at your particular seated ear height. Give it a try yourself using plinths or risers. Highly recommended.

Kindest regards,

HTinP

New here and starting from scratch.

I'm looking at the rx6's and the denon 3312 combo to start.

Does anyone have this combo or similar? Is this a good combo or better for similar price?

I will building up as i go with the center and surrounds.
