there's a Cinebar in North Carolina that serves gourmet food and wine and stuff before/during the movies...it rules. only been there once (and once is all i could afford ), but it was a great experience.

the Arclight in LA is phenomenal too...like a f'kin opera house

Emagine Theaters are my favorite around here.

They have stadium seating and pretty much everything else the big new theaters have, along with a bar to order cocktails to enjoy during the movie.

Default Showcase Cinemas (National Amusements)

It's the only Main one around, though there are some Regal Cinemas in the area that I've been to a couple times. The Showcase in Providence has 16 (!!) screens, with #15 & 16 being the 2 Largest ones. So when a Major release isn't on IMAX (right next door!), I try to catch it on the #16 screen. HUGE auditorium, Massive screen, tons of speakers, plenty of room. You want to see a New ACTION flick, you go here. Luckily, "STAR TREK", is at the IMAX for 2 weeks and we already have our tix (Sunday, 1pm!)

The Luxor Theater in Reykjavík Iceland. Digital, killer sound, Lazy boy leather style recliners, bar in the lobby, an adjustable swing arm table to put your drink/snacks on, and not that many seats in the theater. Also, they have an intermission in the middle of the movie to get a bathroom break and get another drink or meal item.

Price of admission includes a candy item or drink. Drink for me.

I enjoy Celebration! Cinemas here. I really miss Studio 28, which closed in Nov 2008 the first megaplex cinema in the world. I really miss Theather 1 which held around 1000 people.

Sounds very nice! Though, I don't know if myself, personally, would want an intermission every time going to a movie. That's just me. if it's a 2+ hour movie, maybe. I'm guessing Female patrons may have had something to do with that, based on prior experiences.

I assume you are/were prior Military (?), as i've heard of a base over there. I am ex-Navy myself.

I voted AMC because that's where we like to go here and its nice. However, there is a Warren Theater that just opened up last year that about 30 minutes away and we have yet to go there but I here its super nice and awesome. You can order drinks and things as well.

Alamo Draft House in Austin FTW!!!!

Although I like drinking a beer while watching a movie....I hate that they don't pause for bathroom breaks.

I've had the best experiences with Regal (as far as commerical theaters go). Nothing can compare to a home theater

Sometimes we hear of people who are “very” honest, “mostly” honest, or even “a little” honest.
Should we even use modifiers with the word honest? I don’t believe so. There are no degrees of honesty. Either we are honest or we aren't.

Retired Navy. The base got shut down a few years ago, about a year after I left, glad I got to go there. I went to that theater for a couple of the LOTR movies and the intermission was a good thing. Spiderman and Harry Potter movies, intermission not so big a deal. The Day After Tomorrow was funny because the Icelandics were coming out laughing how they already lived in the cold.

I used to live on the other side of town and always went to Cinemark's Tinseltown or a Regal Cinema. Best theaters in town IMO. Now I've moved and the only thing close to me is an AMC in the mall. It's better than nothing, but definitely makes me miss Tinseltown.

Of course, none of them even come close to the Universal Cineplex (which is an AMC 20) at Universal City Walk when I used to live in Orlando.

AMC is nice but I don't have any in my area lol. Went to the AMC in Orlando @ City Walk and saw Iron Man. I mainly go to Cinemark but AMC is a nice theatre.
