Question Is there a "4:3 letterbox Zoom function" for any of the existing Blu-ray players yet?

I ask "yet" 'cause I was hoping that the Blu-Ray players updated to having zoom by now. Ps3's blu-ray player sadly does not have it but when I rip 4:3 [letterboxed] music videos (VOBS, renamed to mpgs) and play them as media files, I'm able to achieve the zoom. So if playing media files can achieve this, why does the Blu-Ray player in the PS3 not have this? It drives me nuts!

And when I googled about this issue, I couldn't help but notice this thread and I must say I feel the same for the OP but our reasons are quite different. Regardless, ZOOM SHOLD be available.

Take note, I'm may be new to Blu-Ray but my knowledge in all these video aspect ratio thingys and all is strong, despite how lacky I am when it comes to being a techno gizmo.

I was hoping the PS3 updates boards would read my thread I made here. This explains fully to what I want and WHY the zoom should be necessary. Excuse the big letters. I admit, they're annoying but they're there for people to GET IT lol. A lot didn't understand me and would keep telling me zoom is available but it's NOT. Not everything is anamorphic widescreen peeps!

So yes, it's necessary for videos mastered in 4:3 despite being filmed in 16:9 mastered into a 4:3 picture. And the quality isn't so bad when zooming in. In fact, it's not bad at all. I'm not gonna want to watch my music videos in a smaller given widescreen window!
