This is kind of off topic, but does anyone know why many DVDs and BDs from the U.K. have the title on the spine upside down? Actually, it's been my experience that some do and some don't. Why not be consistent? This madness must be stopped.

On topic, I watched my copy of Le mepris and I was happy with the quality.

It has been like that for years -- this is the case with most French DVDs/BDs as well.

In my experience the vast majority (practically all to be honest) of UK releases have spines that read "down", same as US releases.
French spines all seem to read "up".

Screenshot comparison of the "StudioCanal Collection", the Swedish Universal/StudioCanal DVD from the "Godard Collection", the German Kinowelt DVD and the Criterion DVD.

U.S. Amazon order update for those doing it over Amazon U.S.-

My copy sould be here tommorrorw. Since I had to wait for backorder, they gave me free 1-day shipping, so my order just came to $22 for an import. Can't wait.
