they showed off the new transfer that was preped for the blu-ray a few weeks ago at a screening for bttf.com in Orlando. This is quoted from Bob Gale himself (screen writer for BTTF). Its being worked on now as we speak including the new blu-ray interactivity. Id say spring 2009......

Let em pay more attention to quality itself. Truly speaking I dont need any interactivity - just reach, high bitrate video and lossless sound.

Interestingly enough it's actually spelled gigawatts. If you look up "giga" it is pronounced jiga...

So really we should be saying. WTF?! Blu-ray has a 80 jigabyte capacity?

So it goes...

kilobytes, megabytes, giga(jiga)bytes, terabytes

It's pronounced jiga because it's a soft g...

kind of like...gigantic...same g that sounds like a j

a true unique trilogy, can't wait for the blu-ray. I just hope they include the footage from the now retired Universal ride.

If you guys were TRUE fans you would be going to the future to bring this trilogy back. Along with all the firmware updates for the various players to play it correctly.

Guess I'll just have to go myself. Better be careful where I go though. Don't want my mom having the hots for me. Ewww.

if you are going to go to the future, then just buy BTTF in the next format with a 4000p tv and a PS5...and while you are at it...could you pick me up a sports almanac for the next 50 years?

thanks

Sure thing, Biff. But I'm getting the winning lottery numbers.

Maybe I'll bring back a few PS5's to sell on e-ebay2 in 2010.

Universal is being a Slacker! I am sure they are not "Chicken" about giving us the best 1080p blu-ray verson's of these cool films.

Did anyone ever think about how the 2nd and 3rd movies didn't need to happen. I like them, but "We have to go to the future to stop something from happening that didn't happen yet." Couldn't they have just waited 30 years and told Marty Jr. to "just say no" to Griff. And besides, it's bad to know too much about your own destiny anyway; it's like crossing the streams or something like that.

Oh, some of the scripts were so... spirited!"

30 years is a long time, people change and forget. It was safer since the Doc had the technology to just go into the future and fix things. Besides it was more fun like that.
