Thumbs down The Boys Are Back gets NO Blu-ray release! (more from Miramax)

And the list goes on with Miramax and their mid Blu-ray crisis:

- Cheri
- Blindness
- The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
- Happy-Go-Lucky
- City of Men
- Brideshead Revisited

and now this movie

- The Boys Are Back

For how long is this going to go for. Some for which are bound to look its best on Blu-ray!

Ok am fuming right now!

I have never heard of any of those movies. That might be why they aren't getting blu ray releases.

Yup because Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter is so well known and well revered!

http://www.amazon.com/Jesus-Christ-Vampire-Hunter-Blu-ray/dp/B001EN46MK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1258826623&sr=8-1-spell

Anyways, you not hearing of the movies is more a fault of yourself. A lack of knowledge on your part.

They are very low key and small budget films/low grossing that dosnt sell that well on DVD so thats probably why there wast a Blu-ray release. Happy Go lucky, Blindness and Boy and striped PJ's were good films. I havent had time to watch the others

I know what their sale grosses were, I just don't think its fairly moderate for Japan or other foreign countries to receive the Blu-ray version and the US region gets empty handed.

Happy-Go-Lucky and Blindness have Blu-ray versions available, I think 'Go-Lucky' has a Canadian version, and "Blindness' well, has at least 3 versions out.

The studios are assuming that films that perform poorly at the box office will also perform poorly on Blu-Ray. They have new and catalog titles that they know will sell better, so they're going with them. I can't blame them for that.

If you want these films that are released elsewhere on Blu, go ahead and import, because it might be a long time before these films are released on Blu in the U.S.
