Just finished rereading the books. As much as it pains me to say, because JP1 is one of my all-time favorite movies, these 2 movies could go for a remake. Not too much to change in #1, but #2 needs a MAJOR overhaul.
On-topic, I'd buy the trilogy!

you can't compare #2 to the book. The movie was being made simultaneously to the book being written. So beyond the title and maybe a few of the basic premises, they have nothing in common.

I agree, and that's why I think it needs a major overhaul. And in order to do that, you'd have to redo the first as well. Jurassic Park is very high on my list of favorite movies of all time, top ten, but there is so much more in the book. I generally despise remakes (few exceptions, like "The Thing") but I'd love to see this adapted a little closer.

Ahh..Jurassic Park. The one and only product in the world that manages to be both my favorite movie, book and soundtrack. Only goes for the first one, I despise the second movie (Book is better but I like to just focus on the first one), and while I don't hate the third that much I think it's a pointless sequel, devoid of all the magic that went into the first one.

In any case, where the heck is the Blu-Ray anyway? Are they still in doubts about the success of the format, considering how it seems to sell more and more every year? More and more classics are being released, yet Jurassic Park remains mysteriously absent.

It's really a shame. I got it on DVD, but after getting my new TV and my own surround setup, I have not yet wanted to rewatch it because I want to relive it in glorious audio and video. I want to feel vibrations run through me like the ripples in the water when the T-Rex is about to arrive.

Everyday I check on this site for news, and everyday it's the same..

Great so at least they are avialable (soon?) and I guess in at least some other countries they will most likely also be released in the near future.

That's fake. That case was actually designed by a member here. There was a link to this and other custom cases in the BTTF thread.

Thumbs up

I thought I had already seen those cases elsewhere, nice concept with the raptor cage though.

Anyway I'm hoping JP will be a 2011 release, I don't want to wait until 2013.

Hopefully it turns out like BTTF did, where ZonaDVD posted it as a joke but it ended up coming out relatively soon after.

I'm hoping Universal confirms some details sooner rather then later, now the cat is out of the bag.

Here's hoping it will be in the first half of the year also

I could definitely see this set getting an April release, just like the LoTR set did last year.

I really hope so, I've been really looking forward to hearing something since JP was rumoured ages ago.

Let's hope so! We deserve something like this, especially after all this Jurassic Park 4 "filming" news.
