Predator Ext Ed for Canada June 29 - Blu-ray Forum

Just saw this listing on amazon.ca, it's for June 29

Does anyone know anything about this? I looked at some of the other Predator threads, no real info. there.

Never heard anything about an extended Predator. I'm wondering, has a "cut" Predator only been available in Canada?

No. This release may get pulled from amazon.ca's site, we shall see.

EDIT: Looks like the US is getting a release on the same day, so scratch the last comment.

possibly to tie in with the release of 'Predators' on July 9.

hopefully there will be something new and not just a re-release.

I checked the IMDB entry and there's no record of a director's cut of this film, just the standard 103-min cut.

So if it is a Predator "Extended Edition" as advertised it must be a new cut just for this release. Interesting...

I see from the other thread it is now being called the "Ultimate Hunter Edition," 2-disc set with "never-before-seen bonus footage". So it's probably the standard cut plus bonus footage as special features. Hopefully a remaster for the main feature, fingers crossed!!

Yeah, hopefully it won't just be a slipcover over the case or something, which is what Fox/MGM did for The Terminator.
