Its called CA, which is equivalent to Chartered Public accountant in US or Australia if I am not wrong.
Long story short, its the best accounting designation you can get in Canada, but its pretty hard, so I have to work really hard.
I am likely to do my phd as well after honours, that is if I am accepted (it's an odd system where I study as I was offered a position, but that doesn't garauntee me a position if I accept ). I'm looking to be CPA, ICAA or NIA ceritified.
By the way, I am also in my last year of Commerce degree, speicalizing in accounting and majoring and economics (plus 1 small minor in Political Science)
Are you sure you want to go to masters degree, couse I heard its not that usefull for accounting unless you plan to become a professor.
Is there any professional designation you are aiming at?
I'm not sure, there are so many releases coming out in the next two to three months i'm going to have to pick and choice and play catch up later on (i'm not just reffering to steelbooks here).
