Just checking to make sure, since another review was raving about the HDR. I have the 930C in the bedroom and my wife watches that more than I do. I have the Samsung player connected to the 940C in the living room, so that's the one I watch 90% of the time. However the 930C is no slouch either when it comes to HDR (I think it can do over 800 nits). BTW, I usually watch with the Sammy player set in enhanced mode, but often at night I set it to standard. UHD movies often look darker than their BD counterparts so that's one reason I like enhanced mode. I also bump up the color on the to 65 but the other HDR settings I leave as it (although sometimes I'll lower the gamma to -2 at night).

Yeah, it's set to enhanced. After your message I double checked everything again and looked at Pets, Everest, and The Shallows last night. I saw a difference in the latter two but still noting on Pets. I definitely have the correct disc in the player, and it's reading back 2160p on the TV and HDR on the player. You have the same set? What other settings are you using for UHD playback?

Hi Martin, just to make sure, you do have the HDMI port (the one that your UHD BD is connected to) on your 930C set to "enhanced" mode, right? Just curious as I have that same TV and it outputs very good HDR and some of your reviews don't seem to reflect that (most recently, The Secret Life of Pets).
