No problem at all, man. Should Deja Vu be on my list as an objective best? No. Definitely not, but I can't help loving it more than some of the established classics. As long as we can elucidate our opinions fairly well, there is no problem in making such head-turning lists, I'm sure you have your reasons.

Alright, sorry I got angry. It just felt like I was getting attacked left and right just because I listed all recent films. Don't get me wrong, I like older movies but it seems to me that the newer films that I enjoy resonate with me better than the older movies that I like.

Hey, I was just noting that all of the films on your list were from the last three years. Not an insult, just an observation. Nothing to feel guilty about.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. I might have to rent the film before I decide if I should purchase it or not.

It is firmly in the drama, horror, thriller vicinity. But why I rated it so high was the assuredness to the surreally ordered visuals (as is geometry, mis en scene). I found that to form a parallel with a story about people living a very ordered existence. This may not make sense but think Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt as told by Bunuel.

    Here's a capsule I wrote a while back
    Stoker (dir. Park Chan-Wook) ½

A disturbing thriller that couples an eerie aura of suspense with mathematically precise visual symbolism. The detailed, ordered shots attach a dark underbelly to stoic suburbia reminiscent of David Lynch's Blue Velvet. It's not a complete original, but a very fine mood piece, nonetheless.

I am personally waiting for a $10 price, so I would say $18 is a bit steep for buying something blindly. It's a tough call.

Hey! I seen that you rated Stoker 3.5 out of 4. Would you recommend me to blind buy the film? I heard it has a twisted and dark story and I always like movies with stories like that. Does it fit into the horror genre? This site has it listed under Drama, Horror, Thriller.
