    You asked in the news thread why Scarlett's hair is longer in the character movies and shorter in the Avengers films.

    In Iron Man2 and the Cap movies, she was a supporting character and the movie was not marketed around her as a focal point so she can look however they want to make her and if her hair whips in her face it is ok.

    In Avengers, she is part of the main ensemble cast and is therefore marketed as "An Avenger" first and Black Widow second. In this case, her face must be clearly visible at all times and this is also the reason why we see Cap with his helmet and mask off a lot of the time.
