Yes, your Denon must be either wirelsess connected or hardwired to the modem in order to get any firmware upgrades.
For DTS X and Atmos there are several different speaker configurations, and you need to find the best one based on your room setup. I suggest to stick with the same speaker brand that you have. So if you have Klipsch, add two more Klipsch speakers for DTS X and Dolby Atmos

Thank you for your response, and as a matter of fact the firmware is available now, there were instructions for the installation on the materials in the box for the upgrade, and in fact I found what I was doing wrong. What I was missing was setting up the receiver to my WI-Fi, once I did that, the firmware was installed, It took about 15 minutes, the downsize of this is that I can enjoy it because I only have 5 speakers, I guess I need two more to really hear the difference, any way I believe that just the installation improve the sound in a way. I watched once more EX-MACHINA and the information is showing that the sound is DTS-X. Do you have any suggestions about the additional 2 speakers? My setting is with Klipsch in front and back and subwoofer, and my center is Infinity.

DTS:X upgrade has not come out yet for your specific Denon model

Hello, there I've been reading a little bit this forum, and your post shows quite often, so I think that maybe you can help me with this situation. I just upgrade my AV receiver Denon 2808CI, for the X3200W, and I have difficulties with the installation of the firmware for the dtsX upgrade. Following is the configuration of my system, I used my OPPO blu ray player to process the video direct to my TV, and use the second input in the back of the oppo for the sound directly to the Denon receiver. What I don't understand is what do I need to do for upgrade. I tried yesterday, but I got the message connection failure. Do I need to buy an USB input for the receiver? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
