I pretty much missed the boat on CoD, might've played one co-op with my cousin way back on the original Xbox. New one definitely seems like a big jump forward for the campaign and style, though. Just waiting for Borderlands 3 to unlock, then waiting for Death Stranding and Doom Eternal.
I also played the demo for Man of Medan. It's finally a full game from the Until Dawn studio. The texture work and HDR in that was stunning too. Guess it ain't reviewing too well, but I liked the demo... already have too much to play and watch right now, but I'll pick it up eventually. Definitely worth seeing the demo at least.

It looks fantastic and runs very smoothly. I've been playing with mouse and keyboard on the One X, and it's been pretty fun. I've played it on both PC and One X, and while it looks better on PC, the One X holds its own.
I'm really looking forward to Modern Warfare, though. Based on Digital Foundry's early analysis, that game will be a looker as well, and gameplay looks much better than most COD games.

That Gears 5 on the X is pretty great, huh? Their HDR calibration menu is ace, with the gamma curve and finally a game lets us look at the actual game screen while adjusting instead of just picture approximation.

Yeah I saw. It's always been a glorious looking game, and especially now. The underlying technology, and the fact that it's native 4K on such a huge open world is pretty impressive.
I've been playing Mortal Kombat 11 lately, and that has one of the absolute best HDR implementations I've seen in a game.

Yo, man. Just wanted to let you know that Rockstar FINALLY fixed the HDR in Read Redemption 2 with that big online uodate the other day. There's a calibration menu now and it looks glorious. Went from worst HDR to possibly the best HDR presentation in gaming imo. Settled on 900 peak brightness and 160 paper white for my set, just to keep it looking natural without any hot white or blown out sunshine, but it can go up to 10K and 500. I waited to play through it and thought it would never happen, but hell yeah.

I never got to play the old ones, but I'd watched my cousin play through the original on Xbox back in the day. First one I tried myself was season 1 on sale, really blew me away.
Kinda hoping all these Ubisoft Splinter Cell teases amount to something. Wouldn't mind a new one of those, to give Phantom Pain a run for it's money.

Yep. Another native 4K title, and the HDR is great too. Hitman 2016 looked incredibly good too, but Hitman 2 definitely received an upgrade in visuals - especially the lighting and reflections. I love that they remastered the season 1 missions with the upgraded graphics and new features.
This has been my favorite gaming franchise for nearly 2 decades now. Whittleton Creek reminds me a lot of A New Life from Blood Money (which is still my favorite game in the series.)

Bro, Hitman 2 is already so good on the X. The HDR seems killer, the performance mode is smoooothe, and the way Hitman 1's content slots right into the menus and engine is seriously some "Best Sequel of All Time" material. IOI really made the ongoing platform they were striving for.
