I just wanted to thank you for the excellent review for The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. I'm still glad I purchased it, I just have to wait for the oversees delivery. I guess I had suspected that a non-boutique-labeled company would not be able to treat the film the way that it should, but I'm happy to retire my only version on laser disc. Here's hoping that some skilled label takes pity/advantage of those of us who will buy again once it's upgraded properly. Until then I'm ok with getting a less than stellar disc at a reasonable price!
