    Hi Joe, If you watch a lot of Cinemascope content it is possible to burn in a slightly lighter image where the cropping top and bottom bars are positioned. If you switch up the content to full screen for at least 1/2 of the time you watch Cinemascope cropped content you will not have any elevated blacks in the Cinemascope cropping top and bottom bars.

    Hello there…I see you know alot about different things on here…I looked and couldn’t find a answer to my question so I thought I would ask you…I bought a Sony a9s oled last week..I was worried about burn in but the salesman said that’s not a problem anymore so my question is …I watch movies a lot and I am worried about the bars on the top and bottom of the screen effecting the tv as in burn in…should I be worried …your response would be greatly appreciated..have a good day…Joe
