I continue to think this a good idea, or something similar, if at all possible.

On Wednesday I submitted 4 new Theatrical Entries. By Saturday night/Sunday morning, when they were approved, then 1 had already been Duped by someone else whose entry was submitted and approved Friday.

I feel like some prevention measure like this would not just help to put down on Dupes, and the duplication of effort by people who could be working on something else productive instead, but that it will encourage contributing to Master Movie ID's.

Right now people could be discouraged from submitting as they might worry that their submission will be a dupe, regardless of how soon it's approved. Thank you.

Just some thoughts...

It would be nice if the data stored for a release had an area with a Yes|No for each of the following regarding Disc Art:

Photo Art Yes|No
Screened Art Yes|No
Plain Label Yes|No (or whatever works best for a Studio's generic plain disc label)
Plain Screen Yes|No

I have it as Yes|No instead of a single selection since sometimes releases have mixed art depending on the disc type or if it's in a multi-movie collection.

Just thought that would be a nice thing to know that differeniates some older releases with Photo Art than have newer versions but with just Plain labels or screened text.

On another note, it would be nice when adding an item to our collection if it had a checkbox for Slipcover/box to indicate they one I have in my collection has one. It could then be included in the data when the collection is viewed by list, or maybe some kind of icon.

Just thought that would be some nice additional info to have on hand.

My forum profile > About Me tab

Add a pencil icon ("Edit Value") and editing ability for Signature.

Everything else has it there, and to edit your signature currently, you have to find it in the tiny Quick Links link.

I asked this awhile back, but is there any way we can have the option to have our categories be in our arranged order rather than alphabetical in the printer friendly version of our collection?

Well when you click on the printer friendly link, all of our categories are in alphabetical order rather than the order that we have placed them in our collections. I can attach an image of what I mean if you need.

When I click USER CP and see NEW SUBSCRIBED THREADS, I usually see all the threads that I’m subscribed to that have new replys (and they’re bold). But if I don’t get to em right then and there, and come back later, they’re gone. No longer in my NEW SUBSCRIBED THREADS page- And also, even if I go to LIST SUBSCRIPTIONS, they’re no longer “BOLD”, so it looks like there’s been no new replys.

Just thought I’d mention it

You can now submit DVD region coding information, sorry about the "slight" delay

Default Czech & Slovak audio options

1) Could you maximize audio options for Czech and Slovak, to be possible add same options as English audio (with bit depth etc.)?

2) Please, delete "Czechoslovokian: DTS-HD Master Audio 5.0" and "Czechoslovokian: LPCM 2.0" audio options. It is nonsense - does not exist anything like Czechoslovak(ian) (it is even wrongly spelled), there are only Czech & Slovak languages separately.

Thanks!

Default Change UV database to "Digital/UV" includes all providers.

Can the UV database be changed to a "Digital/UV" database? Include all providers without adding a new database for each.

For all 4 digital formats. Update the pop-up box that shows up when you add a digital movie to your collection.

Add checkboxes for all providers
You check any provider you now own the movie. Also if you wish to keep track of separate MA and UV collections you can check them if applicable. (I have collections at FandangoNow, Google Play, Microsoft Movies & TV, and Vudu. But I only keep track of the titles that are actually UV in the Current UV database.)

Amazon
FandangoNow
Google Play
iTunes
Kaleidescape
Microsoft Movies & TV
Vudu
Xfinity
Movies Anywhere
Ultraviolet

Also add checkboxs for the resolution you own. 4K, HDX, HD, SD

These new additions to the pop up box could also save time from going to each database separately. While keeping all four current databases. Just making changes to the UV database.

On the right side of the screen, under "My Collection" it show where you have collections

Digital = the total number of different Digital Movies you own
Example
Digital (100)
iTunes (90)
Amazon (50)
Vudu (95)
Google Play (50)
Fandangonow
Microsoft Movies & TV (50)
Movies Anywhere (50)
Ultraviolet (10)

All MA providers have 50 because of MA. iTunes had 90 from iTunes redemption/purchase of non MA movie. Vudu has 95 from Vudu/UV redemption. Not the same 90 in iTunes. UV only has 10 due to the time they were purchased or the way the were redeemed. Don't have any movies in Kaleidescape and have not connected Xfinity to Movies Anywhere. So they don't show up.

Proposal mock-up for new "Digital/UV" page. (UV kept for familiarity)

Also add this Ultraviolet (as of today) checkbox. So the UV logo shows up like the MA logo does. This way we can search the database for movies that still have UV rights. If the movie ever loses UV rights. Check the box to no.

What do you think? Can it be done?

Default Provenance Feature

I love how blu-ray.com reports technical statistics for Video and Audio: Codec, Resolution, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, and so on. Another favorite feature is the 'Original aspect ratio'. The latter speaks to the title's provenance: at origin, here is how the content was first captured and presented to the audience.

I wish there was more provenance information available for each title. Starting from how the Video and Audio were first captured and presented to the audience, how has that Video and Audio changed into the specific disk being reviewed?

I recognize it's a lot of information to capture, but Internet.

Was the film originally shot in 16mm and stereo? Remastered to surround sound in 1983? Restored in 1997 from an original 70mm print w/ help from 35mm copies?

I often find myself digging for these kinds of details, especially when I am trying to decide if I'll buy the 4K version of a title. If I knew that the title was originally shot in 70mm, but the 4K is just an upscaled version of the 1K Blu-ray that was mastered 12 years ago...

Thanks for listening!

Now that you can put region coding for DVD entries, why is it that whenever I add an Australian release it automatically confirms the encoding for Region 2 and greyed out when it probably won't even work for that region?

Looks like the developers may have started this as there is a new "UV copy" option right after the Movies Anywhere check boxes today.
I think it would be helpful to keep the 4 we have. But have the ability to added to all collections through each. With the checkbox things. So we don't have to go to all four if that is what we chose to do.

I think a change may come later this year. Heard somethings about Vudu prices possibly being added. The Digital/UV database would be for everything that is not iTunes and Amazon. If Paramount, Lionsgate, and MGM ever join MA i can see that database going away maybe. It is nice to have pure database for MA titles.

HDX was almost removed the other day. But, if Vudu prices are coming wouldn't want to confuse people.

Yeah. I saw the "UV copy" I sent you a PM about it. If anyone else wants to help out. "UV copy" should only be checked yes if the movie/TV show is currently UV. If you purchased/redeemed it today, would you get UV rights.

So this should only include titles from
Warner Bros.
Sony
Paramount
select Lionsgate released before 7/31/18
A few others from minor studios I think.

Default Pre-Order / release notification and app for?

Hi, has the -pre order notification button been removed from this site? Can't find it on the UK release page for blu ray the predator and a few other films. Also I have the 'My Movies' app for android that links up with this but just the same. All i want is too choose an upcoming title on an app and get a reminder the day it is released, have it for ps4 games (GamingReminder) and that works great, just want the same for UK blu-Ray release dates!

Any help appreciated,
Cheers
