Nice! Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much! I (obviously) thought very highly of it, too. It is a bit fast paced, and their are many characters, but I thought the same thing you did. 'Simply one of the best gangster films I have ever seen.'

I guess it's all about what you're used to. I know many Americans hate slim cases and love thicker UK cases where I, on the other hand, prefer slimmer ones. I really enjoyed Mesrine(especially part2) and A Prophet. Now I'm even more interested. I purchased the Godfather Collection(new) for $35 delivered from AMZ marketplace. Also picked up Star Wars OT. Did some pre-orders too - To Catch a Thief and Bond 50. Fernando di Leo -set should be shipping next week!

Thanks, Todd. I probably try to buy Criterion's instead of region B counterparts if possible. I believe the only region b counterpart that is superior to Criterion is Le Cercle Rouge by Studio Canal Collection. Others are either very similar or inferior. I seem to have developed a rather weird OCD. I can't stand British cover arts with those rating logos. So if there's a way to avoid them I'll do (nearly) anything in the future. Oh no it's a crazy person talking. Hah. Go figure. Cell 211 was another great recommendation from Adam. I'm definitely now considering adding it to my collection soon. Okay time to go to bed. It has arrived. Unfortunately my region B player did not thanks to UPS. Also my voltage converter did not arrive today so I can't use my US player. So I don't have a working player at all now. I was hoping to watch new films this weekend. Boo. Any other reccos from Criterion than Pale Flower? Hope all is well.

So your opinion: do you think I could do without an Import section? Thought about dismantling it and spreading the titles out to their respective genre sections. Wanted to get your expertise before.

Pale Flower looks superb! I've had that on my wishlist for quite a while now. I would probably buy the modded one because if you f*** up the region free kit..oh well. At least those modded Oppos usually come with a 1-2 year guarantee. I'd love to buy one too but it sucks when you live in the EU. Yeah there's only 2 features those players are lacking - wifi and SACD support. And I don't need either. My player is flying above the Atlantic right now. Now I'm off to bed and watch Barton Fink!

Thanks for the mini-review on Bellflower, I might have to give it a shot. I'm really excited for Drive. I actually haven't seen it yet, so am quite looking forward to 2 weeks from today.
