Oh yeah, I got you now. The customer service part. The only reason I bought The Sound of Music was for the iTunes code. and if Rocky Horror has it, that will be the only reason I buy that too. I'll get Edward either way, but if it doesn't have iTunes i may wait a while. yeah I noticed that with Universal, that is pretty cool of them and why they are #1 in digital copy.

When iTunes is on a disc in never needs foxredeem. I'm not sure what you mean by "follow the family icons steps in the opposite way". It is really just put the code in to fox redeem, but that is really only if yo want iTunes or Google Play because the code on the sheet works directly in Vudu. The should of music is so far is the only catalog title to come with iTunes HD. But I'm hoping Edward Scissorshands and Rocky Horror will also.

I didn't see the new Fantastic Four, mainly for the lack of a 3D presentation but also because I'm not a big fan of the Fantastic Four concept. I think the property will fade away for awhile whoever owns it. At best, they might appear as a cameo in a future Marvel film, but not with the current cast from the box office disappointment of 2015's F4.

The Disney logo probably won't appear before Lucasfilm Star Wars just the same as it doesn't appear before Disney's Marvel production films. So you're right that the 20th Century Fox logo could remain before the prior films but still become the property of Disney with the Lucasfilm Acquisition provided Disney paid off 20th Century Fox for the rights.

For non family icons it is pretty much the same for non disc titles. Go to fox redeem enter the code select where you want to redeem (iTunes, UV, or google play) then it will take you to your site. And of course you only get one choice so pick the one you want most. I think that is pretty much it. iTunes probably won't be offered on most titles so the choice is usually UV or Google Play.

True, that the rights with Fox could be based on a time frame contract that has to expire after a certain time perhaps. If their time is up with the Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm, then that would mean Disney no doubt paid Fox a certain amount to end the contract and cut ties. Not sure what happened there till we hear more. If Disney owns it now, I can imagine we might not see the 20th Century Fox opening logos. If we do see them, perhaps Fox still has some notice in the new contract.

Interesting and good points BluCollect. Thanks. We'll see how it turns out, hopefully for the best, for us 3D fans!

Good points. Keeping in mind, Disney's timing of its lack of 3D offerings has coincided with their major investments in Lucasfilm and Marvel. Their recent decision to cancel Tron 3 also suggests they're trying to save every last dime towards future profits. Now that Star Wars VII 3D is on the verge of release, a huge tidal wave of income should help Disney return to their leadership in the 3D market, as they once had not long ago.

Yes, Disney gets a big cut of the money they share with Pixar for sales on the decision of Pixar offering blu ray 3D, so hopefully the sales inspire Disney for more animated blu ray 3D releases. If anything, they could always offer a limited run, single pressing of blu ray 3D limited to so many copies. If that didn't sell, then they wouldn't lose much. Another problem is they tend to charge 34.99 per 3D movie unless it's bought on sale when first released. Most people being used to 24.99 for a 3D blu ray.
