The quality of the picture and sound of The Lady From Shanghai blu-ray certainly did not reflect the restoration that it received. It has come to my attention that a corrected disc has been pressed and is being sold at other online retailers such as Movies Unlimited (with an outrageous markup).

Due to persistent contact with the TCM shop (including a detailed email to their CEO), they have contacted their distributor and I am awaiting a reply. Naturally, a replacement plan needs to be implemented.

There are photos of this new disc, which contains a blu-ray amaray case, a new AVC 30mb bit rate transfer and Dolby TrueHD all on a dual layered disc, in the forums.

In your review of Desk set you mentioned it was released in mono. As far as I had heard all Cinemascope movies of this time frame were released with 4 track stereo surround sound. I know that lots of the stereo tracks were lost.

I've been reading your reviews on here for a long time. You are one of the best I've come across - ever. I used to review movies myself, but I was nowhere near as exciting and well-versed as you. Kudos, and keep up the good work.

Nice review on Clockwork Angels, couldn't agree more with your findings. I have most of the Rush blu-rays and wanted this to be a favourite but, alas, no. I also noticed you were able to weasel out of the One Direction review Next year, perhaps you could convince the powers that be at blu-ray.com to let you do a, say, top 5 end-of-year concert release list. Nothing is missing from the frames in Jumper 3D 1.78:1 AR compared to the 2.35 flat Blu-ray. It was filmed in Super 35 so you see more picture information on the 3D version.
