Oh, family emergencies are never good
I hope everything is ok now?

No, I haven't bought an anime cel in quite some time. In fact; I've sold most of my collection.
Very lucrative, as anime cels are pretty expensive. If you think collecting BDs is expensive, don't ever get into cel collecting

They don't make anime cels anymore.
Anime is now CG made, so they are getting rare.

Whoops, I didn't see you comment, so sorry.

Hmm, I believe France has a large convention in the summer, but I've never been there so I have no idea if it's worth the trip.

I had the pleasure of visiting the San Diego CC back in 2005, when I was still young
Loved it! I had never seen anything like it. But yeah, it was pretty crowded back then.
I guess it's even more crowded now.

We had to work too though. My boyfriend had a booth (I had an American boyfriend back then) with anime cels, so there wasn't much time to visit the panels.

Ikr? This caption on that pic made me laugh: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...796c81ca2c.jpg
Love the helmet though, I'll give her that.

    And no, sadly not.
I'm in the Netherlands, so there's not much convention action going on here, until last year we only had FACTS in Belgium.

This year, however, we had our first Dutch Comic Con and it was great.
Awesome guests and for their first time, it was all very well organized.

I'm glad you feel the same.
Like the (in)famous female Thor pic that's been floating around on the net.
    I hate that one.
As if women can only have succesful costumes if they show as much skin as possible.

Love the look on that shield.
    It looks really good

    Yeah, she looks really good.
I especially like that she kept true to the costume and didn't feel the need to let her boobs hang out

And oh, I'm envious of any cap shield you might have/get.
I'd LOVE to get one for my living room wall, but they are so expensive
Great idea for the office too

Are you a member of the RPF forum?
I remember a female member there cosplayed a wonderful Captain America.
Let me see if I can find a picture...

Well, I found the link to her DeviantArt page, she also has a Facebook page with tips for making a costume.

I'd love to cosplay as Cap too one day.

    Hi! Nice to meet you
Thank you for the compliments. It took us three years to get the costumes complete like this, but it was worth it. We always get very nice reactions.
    What have you cosplayed as?

And there are more of us ladies here.
Redphoenix and Jude72 are gals too

    And haha, bring it on!
