That 2001 set was abit more than a tad expensive Finally succumbed to the smartphone late last year, but figured it could serve as a e-book reader, phone and a portable movie screen,so went for a 6.4" screen phone Hillariously uncomfortable as a phone, but brilliant at all else.I just use bluetooth for calls.

All's well over here with stolen summer nights at the becon.Hope you and family are well too

Just thought I'd send you a pretty spectacular video from my country.

I've bought a large cell-phone,and installed an e-book reader program on it.Maybe you can consider me a (semi)convert in a few months!

Hope you dodged the extreme winter where you live

Loved your review and I feel the same way on many points. Lots of things to like but lots that I just shook my head at during the film. I guess the way I feel right now is pretty mixed. I feel like I ordered orange juice and got TANG instead.

Hi Bob.I'm good here.Winter's been kind to us so far.Going to see the second installment of the Hobbit monday or tuesday next week. That way I avoid the crazy ques and overfilled theaters.I think I'm going to enjoy this movie immensly since it covers my favourite part of the book.No spoilers until I've seen it,you hear.

Hope you and your family are well.Happy holliday.I'll check in before new year mate

The most surprising thing about the Extended Edition is the tracked score from the Rings films used and the fact that the editing isn't as smooth as the extended editions of the Rings film. It's pretty rough from my estimation.

Also, Peter Jackson has his own "Jedi Rocks" moment in this extended edition. It's horrific.

Well, broke my rule and watched the Extended Edition of an Unexpected Journey and it's a big shrug. It's quite clear that adding a third film pretty much killed the effectiveness of the extended cuts for this trilogy. Only parts of the Rivendell sequence are really worthy but they're not missed in the theatrical cut either.

Still, haven't watched this film once again, it pretty clear that the entire opening of the picture doesn't really work. You effectively have to watch the Rings Trilogy first before the Hobbit trilogy and that's not the sign of a true prequel. Say what you will about Lucas and the Prequels but he had it right to basically make the Prequels as if the Originals never happen so you could watch them chronologically. That should've happened here.

Thank you for the compliment on my 'theater' sir.
It really has been a fun experience putting it together.
Its all CL purchased with the exception of the t.v. which was bought new.
Its still a work in progress, cuz there's really never too much
