Yes it is about 12". The 60 I have W850 is Sony's "Wedge design" where I have it is as low as it would go because of the location of the mount holes.

As far as the Oppo BDP-105 is concerned, Kuatolives makes a good point regarding the upcoming HDMI adancements (HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2). To be able to have the true 4K experience, it would pretty require me replacing my TV, pre-pro, blu-ray player and all HDMI associated HDMI cables. That's an expensive upgrade for sure. But I have until Black Friday 2015 to get it done! That's supposedly when 4K BD media will be available. So I may just put off buying the 105D or something along those lines until then, hopefully Oppo will have a device that's 4K media playback ready.

By the way, I just applied the new area rug. I'm not sure if I like though. It's okay I guess, but I'm not in love with it. I could send it back and have them send me a different one, but that would be a PITA!
