Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to get both of them into my system for testing. I am going to have go off of everyones love of oppo and of what I can demo of the denon. If you have any insight that would be great. I'm leaning towards oppo at the moment

I am glad you like them so much. Have you been listening to the L2's or their original L series? I have the original L series and wonder if the L2's give any improvement. I moved to Omaha recently, and there are no dealers out here for me to listen to them. Maybe you should just give your son the Quads!!! Anyways, I am have a question for you. Oppo BDP-83 (not the SE) or the Denon DBP-2010? They both use the VRS by Anchor Bay, but I believe the Oppo's uses a better chip, and I would be bitstreaming to my Denon AVR3808CI, so I don't know if any audio benefits of the Denon are worth it since I wont be using analog. What do you think?

Yes I have the Harman/Kardon Signature 2.0 pre-amp and 2 Harman/Kardon 2.1 5 channel power amps to bi-amp my 5 speaker system. And those are Acoustic Research AR 312HO's flanking a CS 25HO center. You've got some good eyes there :-).I'm suprised you knew that being that most of my equipment has some years on them.
