It was more of just the convoluted way they chose to go about with what the story direction of the ending was than with the ending itself. I don't mind them changing things from the original game or saying it is going to be its own path now, but it got a little bogged down in feeling like they had to justify why it was different instead of just making it different and moving on. I'm very excited for where it goes next.

I haven't played the game myself obviously but I was fascinated by the uproar over it all so I have read the story details in depth, watched some of the key cutscenes most discussed and watched discussions on it and I still am on the side of they botched it pretty bad from a narrative perspective personally. Once you are done Jeremy Jahns did a spoiler discussion and outlined some potential changes they could have made and made it three games and I thought that story skeleton sounded great.

A patch would be great, but even just playing it in 4K and with instant load times I'd be happy. I'll just look away from the door if I have to

I only played through Lost Legacy once but I remember enjoying it. I have been meaning to replay it but at this point I will probably just wait for the PS5 so I can play it in its PS4 Pro mode since I don't expect that one to get a full PS5 patch, though it is possible since its the same engine and all as Uncharted 4 which I fully expect to run in enhanced/boost mode.

    Part 2:

Well the good news is they confirmed Miles Morales is its own Lost Legacy style stand alone like most of us expected.

I'm definitely going with the disc version. I don't want to give up the ability to trade in games when I don't feel like I'll play them again or even the occasional rental or borrowing from a friend. And PS4 backwards compatibility for my physical games of course.

Yep, the game definitely looks fantastic for the most part on PS4 which makes me even more excited for the second part on next gen. I hope they are able to update some of the minor nitpicks I had. The texture issues should be solved automatically by the SSD being able to load things in immediately, but there were small things like clothing most of the time being a static thing that didn't move naturally particularly on Cloud or realistic changes to character models when they are supposed to be hurt/damaged, etc. Again, all somewhat minor things that did not take away from the amazing achievement of the game on current gen.

My initial thought was "that is ugly as sin" and now my thoughts are "ok, it still looks stupid but I guess..." I don't like that they clearly designed the all digital version first and then said "oh crap we have to add a disc drive somewhere"

I'm looking forward to see how FFVII is improved on the PS5. Maybe that door in Cloud's room will finally not look like it is from the PS2

I probably watched that reveal trailer for Forbidden West 4 times by now. I'm hyped for that and Ratchet & Clank the most but Spider-Man is exciting too and that indie game Kena looked fascinating too.

I wasn't going to buy the game anyway, but I read the spoilers and thought it sounded pretty stupid and a slap in the face to the fans of the original. I'm not a fan of Druckman and crew. I enjoyed Uncharted 4 quite a bit but mostly because of my love of the characters and the core elements of the series that they had no impact on. I would have preferred to see the original version from Amy Hennig though.

I can honestly say I haven't missed watching any of them since I stopped since they all went so far down hill in my opinion. And now I see that Ruby Rose is out as Batwoman, not that I ever even attempted to watch that one.

I remember hearing about that one coming but honestly didn't know it started I recently started my new job this month and for the next couple months I have about 3 hours of commute time per day so my free time has been and will be short during the weekdays for a while

I was planning to take a break from gaming for a bit but I got an e-mail today from Gamefly to join back up for $1, so I signed up for that and will see if I can get a couple games out of it like Trials of Mana or Need for Speed before the month is up.

I finished Chapter 13 on hard last night and Hell House is Definitely the hardest fight so far. I considered giving up on Hard mode because it just isn’t fun for that fight but I got past it after like 6 tries or something and then kept on going. The rest is challenging but not brutal like that fight so far if you have the right material equipped.

My issue, without spoilers, was basically the lead up to and how they arrived at the ending from a gameplay perspective. The ending itself in story telling and what it sets up for the next part I actually like and am excited for the next chapter.

I’m about half way through on my second play through; it’s much faster this time obviously from skipping cutscenes and not needing to explore everywhere.
