Because I'm simply sick of not having a QB. Cutler would be the best QB we've had since McNair. It's been ten years. I've had enough. Gotta take some risks and see if Cutler can pan out. He lives here in the offseason.

I'm just staying from a GM standpoint, bringing Cutler back makes no sense at this point IMO. Why not invest that money in rebuilding a defense and drafting a QB to compete with McCown.

McCown is undeniably good in Trestman's system. Of course it has a lot to do with all the weapons around him. That's part of the game... and that's exactly why the Bears would be crazy to pay Cutler all that money.

Franchise tagging Cutler... now that might make sense. Give him one more year, and then make a decision. But there's no reason for the Bears to sign him long-term. It will be too costly. For the Titans... we need the hype and we need a QB. Gotta go after him. And once we release CJ and Wimbley we will have a ton of money to use on other players.

Dude I said nothing about him being a franchise QB, but why would the Bears spend $15-16mil on Cutler when they can roll with McCown and draft a QB to compete with him?

McCown is a temporary, stop-gap option. He's played well in every game he's been in, not just last night. It makes no sense for the Bears to pay Cutler that much when he's hurt all the time and McCown is playing every bit as good.

Trestman is a pretty bad head coach, but he's a QB guy, and McCown will be fine.

Never said franchise QB! Who's to say Cutler is a franchise QB either?

With the way McCown is playing it would make almost no sense for the Bears to spend so much money on Cutler.

And I meant to mention that Locker is coming back next year regardless. He has one year remaining on his contract. We just aren't exercising the 2015 option on his contract. He has a 4 year/$12mil deal. The 5th year would be $13mil, which is obviously ridiculous.

I gave up on Locker as soon as he threw the pick against the Jags and then once again got hurt and out for season.

CJ is paid way too much. We would be better off with Shonn Greene anyways... More money to spread around to other positions. Also, we'll definitely be cutting Kam Wimbley. What a waste he's been. Nice guy though. Ran into him one Saturday and wished him good luck against the Chargers.

Britt is a joke... But, of course, he'll probably dominate with someone else. If he gets his mind right, I'm sure he could get back to playing at a high level.

I seriously don't think it'll be that rough. If we get a good coach, sign Jay Cutler, draft Jake Matthews and Aaron Murray, we're gonna be fine. Of course, this organization proves over and over again that they're too stupid to so anything this smart. So it's probably too much to ask.

    HC - Ray Horton
    OC - Gary Kubiak
    DC - A 3-4 guy who's had success

I can't take this scrub coaching staff for much longer.

I don't know what that term meant and had to look it up in the Urban Dictionary. It's kinda gross eh? It's also a bit crazy to do.
I hope I didn't ruffle any feathers. I meant well, but picked the wrong place to do that.
    My apology is sincere.
