Hah you wish! I think only Apple's Macbook Air comes with an SSD as default. You have to pay an extra $500-600 for the 300GB SSD.

No but it's a 7200rpm 7mm drive which probably explains the noise. Same issue with other X220 owners. I'm too poor to buy an SSD.

Yes. 12.5" so not much room for an internal drive. Light, fast processors and a great battery life. Main reasons why I bought it. I'm really happy with it though hard drive is noisy.

X220, the one with oh so many issues currently. Thankfully my unit seems to have none of those.

For those prices I sure hope so What Thinkpad are you using?
