Really sad to hear about DeGrom. IDK how his 185m contact will fare out now. The Rangers took a huge gamble on signing him for 5 years given his history of injuries.

Judge out for 10 days after that wall collision. No game tonight due to the Apocalypse Now fog. It’s crazy here and I had to buy a freaking air purifier because you can’t keep your windows open.

    Manhattan skyline at 2 today.

You get your Bullmoose order yet?

Ohhh man! What a surprise I had in the mailbox today!

Thanks again for the heads up man! It’s a beautiful release and I had no idea the digibook was leather. Obviously faux but it feels and smells fantastic haha. Bullmoose even shipped it in a box! No scratches!

I’m sure you’re still upset over Judge robbing Hernandez of that home run.

Meanwhile this happened yesterday. I’m sure you already saw it though..heh.

Some nice titles for sale though. I feel like Blue Lagoon will get a 4K release at some point.

The button is fine and will eject the disc tray. The issue is once the tray is ejected, it just closes automatically on its own. It also does it at the slightest touch. Just a tap will send it back inside. The funny thing is my McIntosh Laserdisc player does it too! But yeah as soon as the disc hits the tray it will suck it in and if it’s not seated properly it gets stuck. That’s why I’m just going to kill the power from now on.

I got excited seeing Blue Lagoon was in stock. Then I saw the price!

So I found a bit of a loophole to avoid my tray from retracting back into the player before the disc is seated properly. Basically kill the power to the unit. Tray remains open so I can drop the disc with no Venus fly trap action. Once power is restored, the tray closes and the disc begins to load. Not sure if it will hurt the unit long term but it saves me the stress anxiety when it comes to getting a disc stuck and scratched.

Forgot to mention the Mc also does not play SACD or DVD. I wasn’t too concerned as I purchased it for blu-ray playback. I thought for sure they’d be able to fix the unit. All the broken ones I see on eBay = literal paperweights I guess.

Excellent. That would suck if we got damaged returns. Unfortunately for them…I am a stickler and will send it back if it fails my inspection LOL.

Yeah…I lost a bit of respect for McIntosh after this. They’re considered the best in the industry for their sound with a solid reputation around the world. They also claim to service vintage equipment (amps), so that’s why I assumed they could give my unit a good once over and get it back up to 100%. It’s also far from vintage so meh. A bit surprised they don’t have parts for my unit or offer me the option to upgrade to their latest player. They never got in the 4K game and only manufactured 3 Blu-ray players. It’s a beautiful unit and built like a tank. Damn shame

Always liked the Cliffhanger og artwork. I’ll probably pick it up soon.

Just got my “preparing for shipment” email from Bullmoose.

I needed some good news after my copy of 1776 4K was marked as delivered yesterday but wasn’t in my mailbox.

Meanwhile….my very expensive McIntosh Blu-ray player has a disc tray/drive problem. The freaking tray closes at the slightest touch so I can barely get the disc seated properly before it sucks the disc in which causes a jam and probably a misalignment at this point.

I contacted McIntosh in Binghamton and they said they didn’t have parts as the unit was discontinued. I was hoping they had some stuff laying around as they are the source and have a massive warehouse. It really sucks so I’ll either have to sell it for parts AS/IS or figure out a work around. At least I didn’t pay full price for it.

Did you get Cliffhanger yet? I’m read a lot of mixed reviews.

Looks like it is no longer offered. I tried searching and nothing came up. You didn’t order two by any chance did you. Lol
