Fine thanks, I can't advise on BATB '91 as I don't have the UHD. I don't think I've actually seen the film before so wouldn't be much use as to what it should/shouldn't look like anyways.

Hi Geoff, how are you bro? I'm thinking of buying Beauty and the Beast (1991), taking into account that I don't have it in any physical format, is it worth buying the 4K version or just the bluray? I ask you directly because I think you are the one who knows the most about technical issues related to the image among all users and also I did not see many reviews about the UHD on the internet. Regards

    hello my dear friend

I am searching for last 20minutes, can't find thread where you was talking what other stuff 4K is bringing for us, besides 4K and new sound...
you wrote like 6 lines HDR, WCG, etc....

WOuld you be so kind to send me direct link please?
I want to send it to my friend, who thinks 4K is just upscale....

    thank you,

Me as well. As you probably know, Tremors has always been a consistent seller for the studio, hence the numerous DTV sequels and the fact that it was always one of the first titles Universal spat out onto new formats (DVD, HD DVD, Blu). But the significant rise in quality means they would probably have to actually put some effort into a new transfer. Personally, I’m just hoping somebody like Arrow gets it at this point and treats it right. I would also say Shout, but there’s an equal chance they’d just use the same transfer and only commission some new extras and some grindhouse artwork. Even if Uni themselves did it, there’s a chance it would just get Jurassic Parked, and even then they wouldn’t bother including a remastered BD. Sigh.

UK is the same shite as the US version, yeah. I sure hope Universal give it a UHD sooner rather than later.

Hello, my friend. I see you have the UK version of Tremors in your collection. I’m sure I know the answer, but is the transfer the same garbage that’s on the US disc? Thanks.

Thanks Geoff for the reply. Thank God it was not my TV. I just checked the remastered BD and it looks fine. It's a sad state of affairs when the BD is my new way to watch this over the UHD. I just can't bare to watch a movie with shite compression and banding galore. Universal really messed this up but on the otherhand I just popped in Casino and WOW! Hit or miss I guess with them UNI guys! Cheers.

Hi JR. Those beams have always been a struggle for proper rendering on home video, they've been an awful banding mess in pretty much every version I can recall seeing EXCEPT for the 20th Anniversary Blu-ray where they look far better. Unfortunately they reverted to type for the UHD and the banding is 100% on the disc, not a TV issue.

Hey Geoff, looking for a little bit of help if ya don't mind. Was just watching Apollo 13 on UHD and saw this awful banding mess in the light beams shining onto the rocket at night, the scene where the crew are saying goodbye to their loved ones. Looks real bad. Just wondering have you come across this? Wondering if a disc of tv issue. Hope you can help. Many thanks.
