No, I don't have the JP Blu Ray. I've meaning to get it over the years but the aftermarket prices have kept me from buying it. I have the Geneon volume singles, the Collectors Edition set, (same one you have) and the Korean Limited Edition set.

The last 3 episodes (second half of the OVA) was animated by a different studio a couple years before Toei did the first four episodes so if you notice the difference in animation - that's why.

I enjoy the last 3 episodes. The animation is better but I enjoy the first 4 more because the story was better. With that said, the melancholic ending of the 2nd half of the OVA has aged better with me over the years.

You should have told me you didn't have the DVD set of f all 7 episodes, I would have given you my old copy. I hope you watch it subtitled. Megumi Hayashibara (the girl who sings Fly Me to the Moon in Evangelion) voices Pai, 3x3 Eyes was her breakout role that started her career.

Irregular At Magic Highschool is pretty good. It's not "cream of the crop" in terms of Aniplex titles but it's worth checking out on the streaming platforms if you have access to the ones it's airing on. I think it's on Netflix.

It's funny, Irregular aired way back in 2014 and now they've basically resurrected it recently with the Visitor Arc, Honor Student Arc and the OVA that recently got solicited.
