I'm not going to lie, I have my biases, but we shouldn't dismiss anything solely because it comes from a disreputable filmmaker and/or the Hollywood system. Furthermore, we shouldn't get trapped in the "this is overrated" game. How many times do we read somebody's hyperbole on opening weekend, then they retract some of the praise once everybody else has caught on.

Above all else, the images are what move me. Whether it be in highly acclaimed films by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Paul Thomas Anderson, Bela Tarr or critically maligned films by Tony Scott or Oliver Stone (to name a few), it doesn't matter.

"Contrary to common practice, you cannot manufacture aficionado credibility by affecting contempt for the mainstream. That just makes you a douchebag"

Nice sig! I couldn't agree more.

I'm no expert either, but Imax is more limited then normal theatres in how long the fims can be (for many varied reasons), and the original release of Avatar was on the igher echelon of available lengths.

Another reason not related to cinema limitations is that the extra scene may not work within the film and almost not make complete sense (it has happened before), or it could lead to an alternative story (like the ultimate edition of T2).

In resonce to your post, the re-release in cinemas is probably limited by the maximum length of a film imax can play.

Blackadder's Christmas Carol was the first episode I ever saw, and yes I have seen the other two episodes, because I have the complete box set that came out last year.

Thanks for that, Blackadder is easily my favourite sitcom and the final episode is one of the greatest endings to any TV show ever

I saw your comment about your computer dying and you having to type on your ps3 controller in the Inception review thread. Just wanted to give you a heads up that USB keyboards work with the PS3. It makes typing on it, so much easier.

The prequels may not have been the Star Wars movies that everyone wanted, but at least they weren't unintentional parodies like TFA.
