Hi Martin. In Laserblast, the green person at the beginning of the movie never screamed. I saw it on TV on HBO in 1981. Andrew

976 EVIL, could you tell me if the spanish audio is latin-american or european spanish? If you hear the track the voices you will notice if it is latin-american or not. Thank you.

I have seen your new Lion King review, and it appears that you have missed (or failed to note) one visual change from the old Blu-Ray that the forums have gone nuts about - The large cloud formation that Mufasa leaves after his reappearance late in the film has re-appeared (present on the 2003 DVD, but missing on the 2011 Blu-ray). Can you please edit your review to reflect this? (And, if you have time to spare, also note about an audio bug fixed in Pinocchio's Blu-Ray re-release (One line in "Give a Little Whistle" is missing on the old Blu-Ray, but re-appears in the new edition) in its review, since you also wrote it?)

What are you using to watch 3D content? Your reviews constantly complain of "jaggies" & "shimmering" yet me and the dozens of people who watch the same discs in my home theater see nothing of the sort. FYI we are running a SuperLumis projected on a 200" 16x9 screen in a dedicated home theater.....again, none are seeing these things you describe and it is disingenuous of you to knock a bluray for issues that are likely related to your equipment.

Thanks for all of the reviews you write! What equipment do you use?

Several us wondered if you were able to view the UHD versions of Despicable ME 1 or 2 in Dolby Vision. Since you didn't mention it, it is assumed you didn't. Might be good to mention it one way or the other in your reviews.

In your South Park 20th season review, at the beginning you say "Matt Parker and Trey Stone don't usually lack imagination". I think you mean Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

Martin, hoping you might be able to help me out. I saw you reviewed The Force Awakens 3D version and gave it glowing reviews, even on the technical video side. However, I was stunned how poor this transfer was when I watched the 3D. I was hoping you might be able to verify what I'm seeing. When I watch the 2D, during the "a long time ago...." and subsequent yellow text crawl, the black blends seamlessly with the top and bottom black bars (the base black of the TV set). With 3D blu rays, this isn't an issue either (the encoding did not artificially raise any black levels incorrectly). However, with this Force Awakens 3D, this black background (and all subsequent blacks) are glaringly brighter and do not blend, causing most of the movie to seem washed out. Not only that, the black has a reddish/purpleish tint to it. If i compare a scene at 3:26 mark, on the 2D version the background is brownish, however, on 3D, it is more jarringly red. I can provide screenshots to help. Is it just me?
