Would you recommend purchasing Loving Vincent on DVD rather than Blu-ray b/c of the average quality of the Blu-ray version? Thanks!

Hey - for your recent review of Texas, Adios (1966), it's interesting to point out that despite the booklet stating that the negative was "2-perf Techniscope", the movie was actually shot with Zeiss Ultrascope anamorphic lenses from Germany, on regular 4-perf 35mm. The use of anamorphic lenses is plainly visible in the screenshots. Not sure if they just assumed it was shot in Techniscope because it was a Spaghetti Western or what.

Thank you for your great reviews. I just finished the review about the Great War of Archimedes, and it looks like a very interesting film. I just wanted to comment about seaplanes rescuing downed aviators in WW2 and it did in fact happen, my wife's great uncle flew several different types of seaplanes during the war. He mostly performed reconaissance missions and screening for task forces, but he did perform at least one or two pickups of downed naval aviators. His first ship, the USS Quincy was sunk at Savo Island. Also, check out VH-3 and also this link:

Thanks for all of your reviews! Greatly appreciated.

Just FYI, in your review earlier this year of Operation Mad Ball, you wrote, "The focal character in this particular enterprise is a private (the Army's version of an Ensign)". To correct, the army's equivalent rank to the Navy Ensign (O-1) is the 2nd LT (O-1), the lowest commissioned rank. Cheers!

Thanks for your review of "Viy". I think it's worth mentioning (since there's no indication of this anywhere on the disc or packaging) that the 3 silent films are excerpted from those films. I wish Severin had mentioned that they are incomplete.

RE: Pink Floyd: Delicate Sound of Thunder Blu-ray

Thanks for the review of the remastered blu-ray.
I just re-watched the DVD after seeing this was released, I trust it is better than that... ;-)

I saw the Sydney, Australia show of this concert and had always hoped a higher quality version would someday make it out.

Not sure if someone messaged you about the pictures of people during the end credits of "Rampant" (Korean zombie flick) but they should be the actors who played the parts of the demons/zombies whatever they were. Maybe a chance to show them without make-up as a thank you?

Read your review of a silent Running. Quite good one criticism-it’s not ‘some’ climatologist but 98% are attributing climate change as the cause for the issues we are facing (keep (n mind weather is a snapshot in time, climate is the entire movie for that period of time).
