Thanks everyone for all the ‘welcome backs'. I don’t want to be so arrogant as to reply or 'thank' every such post so I’ll put it here instead.

French one was compressed by David M I think, but I've got the Sony UHD and couldn't be happier with it.

Hey Geoff, looking for a quick recommendation. I have the Indicator releases of Christine. I want to upgrade to 4k UHD. USA or French release?
    Cheers

Name me some high-nit HDR10 discs that really show off the HDR Optimizer on my Panasonic DP-UB9000 with my 800nit VIZIO OLED. Of all the discs I have tried, I have not found one in my collection. All of their MaxCLL values are at or under 1000nits.

Hi Geoff, I listened to your recommendation about Gladiator in UHD and the truth is that I could not be happier, it looks excellent.

Also, what's weird is that BD-100 and BD-R(E) 100 are two different formats not compatible with each other despite using the same linear density and layer positioning, even though BD-R(E) 100 came six years before BD-100. BD-R 128, which was announced in 2010 alongside BD-R(E) 100, did not enter the market until 2018, and these discs are still not sold outside Japan. These discs have a slightly lower linear density than BD-66, BD-100 and BD-R(E) 100. There is no such thing as a BD-128 or BD-RE 128.

Virtually all UHD discs are dual-zoned DTR/HTR encodes AFAIK. There has never been a pressed UHD50, again AFAIK, because it could only use the lower peak bitrates of the 25GB layers. There was a BD-R 50GB 'UHD' released in Scandinavia of the western Django.
