Happy 2015. Day late, but hey. How's it hanging in there?

I just got up. I only own two Criterions, but they are at present the only ones I want or need. Beauty & the Beast because I love that fairy tale more than any other and Jean Cocteau did a rather stunning take on it. I really would love to see a filmmaker like Alfonso Cauron do a telling of it. That would be sweet. Godzilla 1954 is the other and it's a pretty sweet package.

So how are you today? I got the Harry Potter Hogwarts Collection in off Amazon and am now watching the first part of the epic documentary on the series. I don't know how much more I can cram in tonight, but I'm off tomorrow so…

The site cut off on me last night. Sorry. I had to go to bed anyway, so maybe it was telling, because I had a very early start at work. Yeah, they removed the two english songs and (even worse to me) most of Phil Hartman's lines. That last one is very tacky. It was one of Hartman's final roles and he did great I thought.

Well they are releasing 3 more titles in February. None of them is Spirited Away, but that may be the last batch next year, because there can't be too much more left. Best for last I say. DVD will do on it for now. The only reason I haven't bought the Kiki's Delivery Service Blu yet is because Disney altered the dub. I love the old dub. That was the track I heard when I first watched the movie back in 2003 and loved it.

Cool. The Wind Rises marked the first time in my life that I actually drove over an hour out of town to Charleston SC to see it in a theater. It was the first Miyazaki film I've seen that way and sadly, due to his retirement, the last. All I have to say is that he couldn't have found a higher note to go out on. It's awesome. When you do see it I'm sure you'll love it. Spirited Away is still my favorite of his and Disney needs to get of their butts and release the dang Blu already. Oh well, I guess it's best not to rush it so it can get the best possible presentation.

Cool. Not a favorite of mine, but I have seen it. I really want to see Into the Woods this month. It looks freaking awesome, but then again it has Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt so, how could it not be really? I especially love Emily and it is cool to see them together again for the first time since The Devil Wears Prada. Emily was truly a standout in that one. The last film I watched on BD was HP and the Half Blood Prince today, though I chapter skipped a couple times. The last one I watched fully was The Mummy 1999. I got it for Black Friday and watched it the next day. Still a lot of fun. And it still gets me just how perfectly Brendan Fraser slides into that style of film. I see you have From Up on Poppy Hill in your Wishlist. It's really good. Have you seen The Wind Rises yet?

I was out for a couple years, but decided to come back. I've watched quite a few flicks recently. On Blu and in theaters.

Hi. Thanks for the friending. You should know that I used to be your friend on here under the name Caesar Will Rise. That profile has since been discarded as I've been off for a while and forgot the pertinent information. This new one suits me better I think. How you been?
