That was a huge shock recently about Hayabusa passing away suddenly. He had made some huge progress in walking again without assistance, and he still kept his friendly attitude and hopeful demeanor up until the end. He was definitely one of a kind. Along with a lot of other Japanese legends, I would watch a ton of his tapes growing up.

Yep! It's also a tribute to Antonio Inoki, since Shinsuke trained at the Inoki Dojo. Inoki famously fought Ali in a boxing vs. wrestling exhibition and they became good friends (Ali even attended Inoki's retirement match many years later). Ali bestowed the "Bomaye" saying to Inoki, and Inoki used it in his theme music for the rest of his career. It would have music and people chanting "Inoki Bomaye!"

Kinda sucks that they changed the great name of his finisher, but at least they found a decent tribute to it. And at least they're letting Shinsuke be himself and keep his name.
