thanks so much for the awesome rating. Hey biggz, When I built this house less than a year ago, the plans had a bonus room over the garage which was 25x15. As we were going through the construction process, we got to the point in the build where this room came up. Me and the builder walked up there to figure out where the door was going to be. We ended up making the room 30x15.

Thanks for the very kind words regarding my set-up. The room is actually not that large; it is only 19' 4" wide by 14' 7" deep and 9' high. Unfortunately when we were looking for a house we could not find anything with a separate room or one that could not be closed off that was larger than this. We also ruled out basements due to size problems, etc.

The 2 Epik Conquest subwoofers in the corners of the rear of the room sitting on top of the subtraps and under the Nola Viper IIA speakers used as side surrounds are 200 pounds each, 36"H, 22" wide, and 30" deep with 18" drivers.

The two front speakers- the OMA New Yorker horn Prototype speakers are 42" W, 23" D, and 56" H. Each of the OMA New Yorker speakers are a 2 way system with a horn driver on the top and 2 15" woofers per cabinet. They also have an amazing efficiency of 105dB/1 watt/1m.

Let me start off by saying it's a pleasure to count you amongst my friends on this excellent site .... Now to answer your questions....
I was born in Brooklyn & lived there until 1964 when my family moved to Staten Island, where we called home until 1971. Then it was off to The Bronx (where I still live today). So I've got 3 of the 5 boroughs covered
As for the amplifiers.... I have twin 5 channel Harman/Kardon signature 2.1's. The one on the right bi-amps the right front and rear speakers with the remaining channel powering my center. The left amp does the same duties for the left side with a spare channel being left over.....

In other words, the distance at which I place myself for a movie or listening to music, both my ears and the tweeter are at almost the same plane and the configuration of the woofers above and below the tweeter gives me a very accurate sonic image about the position of the characters or any sound source on the screen of the TV when I see a film or musical instruments when I listen to music. If we add the body that provides the low frequencies from the Bass in a single vertical plane between the tweeter, two woofers and subwoofer the resulting sonic picture is crystal clear and accurate.
Additionally, I could tell, this configuration quite particular of my front speakers in my HT was more a necessity than a taste or a visual impression. In my case turned out well ‘cause the height of my speakers.

Second, the tweeter in my front speakers is between the two woofers approximately at 41 1 / 2 " from the floor on the foam pad-speakers-subs setup. Well if we drew a horizontal plane between my ears (in the main listening position, this is, directly in front of the screen at a distance of 10 feet and the two front speakers at an angle of 30 ) and the tweeters, they would be located hardly to 1 " above this level.

Hi Biggz, I’ll try to be as explanatory as possible so you can make the most out of my humble knowledge.
First, I must update the information I gave to you, I forgot to tell you that I raised the subwoofers plus loudspeakers on some platforms (pads) of foam, those are approximately 2 " high so that has increased the overall height a little but it fixed the issue about the vibration.
