Hey JW..... I think your idea about a thread is a good one.

I'm real excited about this. I've never heard any Górecki performed live, and the idea of seeing the movie this way....well, I'm so on-board with this.

I sent the link to a friend in Maine, and he is excited to go, too. In fact, we're going to talk on the phone this evening to plan how to make it happen on our end. I go up there pretty often, so I'm thinking of building a winter visit around this. There's a bus to Manhattan from Portland, so I'd take it down and tie the performance in with some other events.

The performance is on two nights, the Fri and Sat before Thanksgiving week. So if different people end up going to different performances, planning a meet up could get complicated. That's why a dedicated string might be worthwhile.

It'd be cool to meet some of the board posters f2f. And we'd all love Malick, so we'd all hafta be OK, right?

Any thoughts or feedback?

Haha, I can't wait to see this bizarre place now! Kind of reminds me of the adult theater in Taxi Driver from what I've heard.

Yep, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It was an adult theater, after all.

I still haven't seen a movie there. I'm planning on going to see Chaplin's City Lights there at the end of the month.

Hey, in case your interested, the Harris Theater will be showing Before Midnight starting on August 2. Not sure how long it's showing (probably just a week or two), but I might go and see it again.
