Hello there, I've read your review of WB's Mean Streets Blu-ray, I was just wondering if you can confirm if Mardik Martin actually participates in the commentary? I've been through a Region 2 DVD, a Region B Blu-ray and a Region 1 DVD where it's only Martin Scorsese & Amy Robinson talking over three quarters of the film. Thanks!

Hi there, Any chance you could tell if the Alvin and the Chipmunks - Road Chip Blu-ray movie can play Region B? Cheers!

Hey man, how's it going? I truly love going through others collections and browsing, especially large ones. I was very intrigued with all the reviews you post. I was wondering, do you just love movies no matter what it is? I went through the first 6-7 pages and almost every score is an 8 or above. I like it as you aren't a film snob and someone who just likes movies from what it seems. I'm the same way and can pretty much enjoy any movie basically. But I'm a bit confused as you kind of dog some movies but still score them high. I take a lot away from reviews from members as I blind buy exclusively. I never go to the movies as there's no need. The size of my collection basically says that!
Just sharing my thoughts and really am intrigued with your tastes and review scores.
I love your collection too man. I so appreciate people who share my passion for film and
    like/love talking movies.
    Take care

Magnificent 7 is a remake of Seven Samurai. Yojimbo became Fistful of Dollars.

It's because your Subwoofer power switch is set to "Auto"; then when there is no bass content going to it, it automatically shuts down, and only comes back 'On' when there is bass info directed into it. ...It is set on a timer (can be from 15 minutes to half hour).

    * Solution: Set that power switch to "ON". ...So your Sub will always remain ON, and you won't be experiencing no more those random ON & OFF bass activities.

    Cheers,
    Bob

Good afternoon, how are you? May I ask why you gave Sound of Music a 4½ on Picture Quality? I was not as impressed as everyone else seems to be.. What is your take on the P.Q.? Thank you... ~Bob

Ya, we recently got a 65 inch Panasonic Plasma to replace our 62 inch DLP projection tv that we bought in 2004. The old DLP cut off a lot of film and the new technology was catching up with it. This new plasma shows the full picture and is the sharpest thing I have ever seen. We bought this at HH Gregg. That's where we also got the Panasonic blu-ray players. They even let me test HP Ultimate Edition on the player. I hope everything goes well!!

I had the samsung 1600 as well. It doesn't make sense that they don't play DTS-MA tracks properly. But as I have heard, samsung has major problems with their blu-ray players. Their tvs rock though. Panasonics have excellent playback quality on both blu-rays and dvds, but not a lot of extra features like Netflix and youtube. Sony and LG may have those extra features. If you like internet stuff, Sony and LGs are the way to go, but if you just want excellent picture, I'd recommend a Panasonic. Either way, u are doing better than a samsung.
