Hey Marine, just saw this message. It didn't arrive as a usual PM. Weird.
Anyway, yeah awesome LD player the McIntosh. I didn't know they were made in the good ole US. That's nice to see. And it is a shame they didn't make a 4K player. That would have been a beauty both performance wise and aesthetically.
Take care brother.

Hey brother- Thanks for the comments regarding my HT-even though a few photos are outdated...heh. I like to keep a record of my previous gear and it's nice to look back.
The McIntosh gear is gorgeous with just precision engineering. Truly the Rolls Royce of HT which I'm sure you know. They're all made in the US up in Binghamton, NY. They only made three Blu-ray Media Players beginning in 2009: 881, 891, and the 901, respectively. The 901 was discontinued last year and they unfortunately never made a native 4K player which is a shame considering they have receivers that can output DV/HDR10/Atmos/DTS:X
I have the 881 which is a little slow loading but when you open it up it's like a freaking computer inside which explains the wait time. It even has a 120mm computer fan but it's super quiet. The picture quality is excellent along with the sound. I want to get the 901 at some point just have the "final one" they produced.
