I absolutely agree!!! My player does one hell of a job upconverting DVD's to 1080p/24 so my DVD extended versions look fantastic. I can wait...

Visualize, if you will, the board meeting at Warner regarding this release..."Listen up everyone. We won't sell millions of copies of the theatrical version of LOR if the extended version will be released within six months so if we really want to gouge the public, we should actually announce up front that the extended version is at least 2 years away. That way they'll pony up for both of them!!" The guy who came up with this idea probably got a million dollar bonus. I hope he falls off his yacht!!!! C'mon, People, let's present a unified front and boycott this one...maybe they'll get the hint
