I enjoy reading your comments and responses on the Tolkien-related threads; you put up well-reasoned discussions of the issues. I have attempted over the years to do the same, but the animosity from the majority of commenters - who really have no connection with the Tolkien material - is almost palpable, so I have become mostly an observer. Surprisingly, it is even worse on TheOneRing.net, which was supposedly a bastion of Tolkien fans. But anyway, it is comforting to know there are at least a few remaining fans of the actual stories.
