Spidey looks great to me and I have no problem with it being set in high school. I think the cast they got is great and they went back to Peter's initial love interest from the comics. Though I have never read the comics, I do know that Gwen Stacy was Peter's first love well before Mary Jane showed up. I'll be seeing this one as a midnight opening if I can swing it. Swing it. Get it? ....... Yeah. Lame. I like Anne Hathaway. I've liked her since The Princess Diaries. I like Emmy Rossum more, but Anne is great. It will be interesting seeing her in a villainess role. Bane? He looks pretty wicked to me. I haven't read any of the comics. Comics aren't really my forte. I just like the incredible filmic worlds that can be spawned from them, with Spidey being the ultimate. I have an emotional connection with that character that other comic heroes could never surpass for multiple reasons. Dark Knight Rises looks incredible, but Spidey will be top priority over all other contenders.

Cool. I have a similar fear of speaking in front of a bunch of people, but I can get over it easy enough once I get going. My one experience on a community theater stage proved that. Just start speaking and you'll find that once you do you will end up on a roll that can end up being rather difficult to stop. The key is not to focus on the people. Pick a spot somewhere above them and zone them out and speak as if to yourself. I had to read out of a play in front of an audience consisting of actors and actresses who had been doing community theater longer than me. That filled me with dread. My mom and my brother were there and she was afraid I was going to run off the stage. The thing is, once I started reading aloud I barreled forward and the director had to motion me to stop. Everyone's different, but I believe that the initial hurdle is the main one you have to overcome. Just start speaking and you might be surprised how caught up you might get.

That rocks about your professor. I haven't been to see any movie in theaters in at least 2 weeks. For me that is an eternity. I saw Twilight Breaking Dawn for the second time which was a first for the franchise and me, though I do like all of the films. I just know that most of the movies I'm going to really want to shell out the bucks for are coming out later in the Spring and into Summer and onwards. The Amazing Spider-Man just beat TDKR again after the new trailer that was released for it. The two were neck and neck, but Spidey came in and reminded me just how deep my connection to his character really is. I'm a Spidey fan all the way with no shame to show for it. July 3rd can't come any faster. I hope you finish school okay. That professor does sound like the bomb. Don't you love pleasant surprises like that? I'm sorry the classes are hard. If I were there I would offer either a shoulder to cry on, or if that weren't enough, a punching bag to relive stress.

Dang. One thing after another? Yeah, we're holding it together on our end. It gets a little dull, but what can you do? Sorry about your foot. Maybe 2012 is the end after all? Naaah! It's just off to a rocky start, that's all. Out of curiosity, do you want to see The Woman in Black? I'm thinking of seeing it on my next day off if not Chronicle. I like how Daniel really seems committed to breaking away from Harry Potter. Not to say that he hates the movies of course, but it would be something if he could go on to do so much more. He has the talent.

Sorry about the flu. Dang that sucks. I'm glad the house is working out. I sent you a PM last night about a project that Tom Hiddleston recently became involved with. I don't know whether you've read it yet or not. The scene isn't really that graphic as Spielberg worked to make the film just brutal enough to be a portrait of war as it is, but all fitting within the bounds of a PG-13 rating. And Tom really did make the absolute most out of very little time. He is that good. I've already mentioned that Tom, Emily Watson, and the young Celine Buckens were the standouts in a great cast. The horse may have been the focal point and he was astounding, but those 3 human actors gave their all and it payed dividends in the long run. I hope you are still getting better, of course the allergies thing sucks as well. I hope you have a good week.

The barbed wire scene in War Horse was really not all that bad. I can attest to that. It's shot in really low light so you can't see much detail. The payoff is worth whatever agony there is though. I was moved to tears at the end. Spielberg was on top of his game and he filmed the heck out of every scene no matter how big or small. Tom was great in the time he had, but that goes for pretty much all the human actors besides the young man playing Albert Narracot. The horse was played by 14 different horses. How they got such an incredible performance from all of them I'll never know. It was stunning to watch. It is not the perfect film, but it is grandly old fashioned in many ways and unashamedly so at that. It shows the brutality of WW1 in way that is not exactly sanitized, as Spielberg doesn't pull his punches, but he deflects it just enough to allow older children to see it as it is based on a childrens' book. If you must wait for Blu I dare say you might not have to wait long.

It's starting out the same as any other. Sorry you've been sick. I was wondering, but I figured there must be something going on. And that is one more reason to be glad when you do graduate. I never got to take a public speaking class at Tech. Did you have the Flu or something else? It's been a while since I've been sick like that, but I don't want to jinx myself. I'm glad you responded and I hope you keep getting better from whatever you had. How's the house working out?
My year is feeling like every other year, working day to day and trying to keep it up. It's the same old routine that never ends. I'm seriously planning to do something this year though or else I just might go bananas, or ape as it were. I don't know exactly when, but I feel it building and I am not inclined to stop it.

Hey. I saw War Horse yesterday. I really liked it. Tom Hiddleston was a standout, but Emily Watson and Celine Buckens turned in my favorite performances. For a first timer Celine was totally natural at it. Watson was stunningly powerful and had a few very funny quips up her sleeve. If you have not seen it yet I recommend it. If you have, well disregard the recommendation and tell me how you liked it or didn't like it as the case may very well be.
