what would you say about surrounds? (distance I mean) since with those above ear level and not pointing at me.

Hey Tommy it is all relative. But your best bet is to try to level match everything to 75.

you think it would be better for me to put my system to 70db instead of 73db? or does't really matter?

Yes they are great speakers and I hope John isn't missing them too much.
As you mentioned on the thread, they were in awesome condition.
