Hi, Doc. Thanks for your review of Highlander. I have it pre-ordered in 4k. It is one of my favorite films. I just wanted to offer a thought on the part about saving the little girl from the Nazis, I always had the impression that the little girl was in fact, his assistant/secretary in New York. The implication being that he not only saved her from the Nazis, but brought her with him after the war raising a whole new untold storyline of their history. The little girl's name is Rachel, his assistant's name is Rachel.

@Mark. Thank you for the correction. I am sorry about this. I accidentally typed 2.0 twice. It is fixed now. Have a great weekend, Mark

@Lastyear: I know Joe and Fish (I own some of Fish's albums). I meant to write Country Joe, not country musician. Thank you for the correction. I fixed the entire name.

@-jonny-: I will look into this.

@ Phil.: It is a solid film -- Gary Busey is on fire I did not cover the release, but Brian's analysis is spot on. You should pick it up for your library. The transfer is fine. You can rock the house with Survivor. See above. I don't think this release ever had a slipcover. My release did not have one. I might post a few photos, but what you see in the profile is it. (I did respond to your PM, too. I am sorry for the delay. I was a bit behind on my correspondence. We were flooded last week). Your mailbox is full. Have a great weekend, Phil.

    Hi, Doc.

Thanks for your informative review of the 4K release of "Dressed To Kill".

I did notice one small problem you may want to correct:

    > "There are two standard audio tracks on this Blu-ray release: English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 and English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0."

You accidentally listed the same tracks twice, while omitting the 5.1. (per the header section.)

    Keep up the good work,

    - Mark

Hi Svet. Read your review of Quiet Days in Clichy. Joe MacDonald is not a country musician. He was head of the rock band Country Joe and the Fish.

    Hi Ncolas,

The news report here has the initial information that Kino Lorber had on Facebook in 2021. However, it appears that they misspoke. Or if Mr. De Palma did supervise and approve the Dolby Vision/HDR grade, they forgot to mention it on their release. I find the second option highly unlikely.

On my 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray release there is no information confirming that Mr. De Palma was in any way involved with the new grade, which is what I shared in the review. So, it appears that currently only the SDR grade for the 4K master Criterion finalized has Mr. De Palma's endorsement.

    Stay healthy, Nicolas

p.s. I have responded to your email as well. I am sorry for the late reply. I have been very busy.

    Hi Svet,

I just read your review of Brian De Palma‘s ”Dressed to Kill“.

Thanks for the great analysis. I‘m very glad the release turned out well.
I can’t wait for my copy to arrive in Germany soon.

I noticed you mentioning that Brian De Palma didn’t supervise the Dolby Vision grade.
According to the news report here on from October 31, 2021, he actually did supervise it! Maybe this is precisely why it was such a tasteful grade.

For your reference, the article stated ”NEW DOLBY VISION/HDR GRADE SUPERVISED BY DIRECTOR DE PALMA“.

Maybe you can update your review accordingly.

    Thanks and all the best!

Two cons dreaming big. A city full of suckers. A game that always ends badly.

A few desperate days in Las Vegas. A million-dollar offer. The oldest temptation.
    This is no ordinary love.
