Sorry, I'm not sure either. I sent an e-mail to our Disney reps, but they aren't sure either. I'll let you guys know if I hear anything...

Ah! It definitely should be "Gordon". Thanks for the correction!

Ok I installed the firmware in my TV last night and I used JC's preferred settings and boy oh boy, it does look a lot better than the previous 3D picture setting that I had on (Cinema). Suffice it to say, I will be using these settings not only on Avatar, but on ALL my 3D movies going forward.

Resident Evil 3D looks great by the way, which is very strange because the PQ got bad reviews on this site. I have a feeling the reviewer didn't watch it on a Panny? If he did, maybe he should re-watch it again but this time with JC's settings.

HOLY COW! I didn't even know that there was a 'James Cameron 3D settings' for Avatar! Man I gotta visit my profile more from now on. You sent this message on 12/6 and it's 1/4 right now. I apologize for not replying back. I usually reply back to my emails but that is only IF I get to read them. More often I visit this wonderful site but just to catch up on the latest news, reviews, forums etc but I don't normally go to my inbox.

I'm in the office right now as I'm typing this and you don't know how excited I am to try these settings tonight when I get home. I will let you know how it looks!

THANK YOU AGAIN for sending me this link!

Thats what I have, the TC-P65VT25. But you're right....if you can wait a few more months...CES is in Jan, so the new Panny TV's won't arrive in stores 'til June 2011 (that's when I got mine, in June!). For 3D TVs, the bigger the screen the better because I feel that there is so much more space and depth when viewing a 3D movie on a bigger screen. It gives it a more emotional impact and therefore a more immersive viewing experience! It's a lot of money, true, and it was hard saving up for this since the time it was announced at CES 2010....but it was and still is worth it!

Sorry for the late response ckenisell....I rarely check my inbox. Anyway, while I love my Sammy 3D LED, my Panny 3D is head and shoulders more SPECTACULAR. I don't even want to put the Sammy in the same sentence as the Panny because it's insulting to the Panny. The Sammy, like all other 3D LCDs and/or 3D LEDs, exhibit from time to time minor ghosting or cross talk issues. I have 9 3D Blu-ray movies already (yes, including Avatar 3D!) and I watched them all on my Panny, not my Sammy. But don't get me wrong, the Sammy is good too but just not as good as the Panny Plasma. Plus, I use my Sammy as my computer monitor anyway. I hope I made your buying decision easier.
