Fanboy emotion, eh? Yeah, that's a good one. You indeed ARE retarded because you can't seem to research things before claiming you are right. Sure, I don't know for absolute certain that Lucas has original prints stashed away, but judging by the meticulous care and attention given to the Lucasfilm Archives and his very well known knack for keeping practically everything from his productions, it's an easy conclusion.

As far as the prints for the bonus DVD's, do I really have to spell it out for you? The only reason they were released from LD ports was for two reasons. No money had to spent on scanning them, and they were just barely good enough to be slightly better than the bootlegs that were out at the time. That's it, nothing more.

Well, it's been fun, but no more replies from me after this. People at this site continually fail to see the truth and frankly I am very tired.

So you're calling me retarded because YOU believe that Lucas has good enough unaltered prints to make a 1080p or better print. Sorry fella...but unless you have direct proof, then you sir, are the retarded one.

But in the end, it probably won't matter either way, because Lucas has said numerous times since '97 that his preferred version is the SE+ version.

But like I said, if he had good prints, why did he use unrestored LaserDisc ports for the DVD re-release? If he had fully remastered and restored prints, he would would have used them for the DVD release.

Try using logic for your desires, not fanboy emotion.

No, I'm not retarded...I can just accept change. The fact is that I was never satisfied with the the original cuts, in an SF/X way even as far back as the '80s. Sure some changes were unnecessary, such as replacing some Cantina creatures with totally different CG ones, but for the most part, all the little additional scenes are most welcome to my eyes.

The problem is that we all grew up with just one version of these films for at least 14 yrs (Jedi to '97) and never knew any different. But because the film stock used to film these back in the day was so poor that once the film elements were changed for the SEs they were only restored as such. That's why the original cuts that were released as non-anamorphic "extras" on the DVD re-release weren't restored, but just ports from the LD. What is it about you fanboys? The original prints in don't exist anymore! At least in a restorable fashion. The SEs are already 14 yrs old and the '04 versions are already 7 yrs old.

    Hey Jedi,

I need some help finding the actual downlods of the OT. I have all the sites like but there is not a clear cut download link to the films. i am wanting the OT in HD with the Han Shoots First and the oringal Boba Voice and no Hayden in Jedi. Were these done by Andywan? I wish they would make finding them eaiser on the sites. Any help would be most appreciated.
