I am sorry for the late reply. I have been extremely busy and just now noticed your message. I tested the disc moments ago and, unfortunately, you are correct -- the first edition of Johnny Mad Dog is no longer playable on multiple players. I can see traces of oxidation in the readable area, which basically means poor replication.

I would suggest that you avoid purchasing this disc on Ebay -- unless you can confirm that there was a second pressing with properly done discs.
