I really really liked it. I will say it’s works better the more of the MCU you have followed, a lot of the character beats and fan service pay offs are more rewarding the more you have seen. From what I’ve gathered, people more uncertain with Infinity War seem to like Endgame more and vice versa. Although I will say if you found Infinity War a bit convoluted, you’ll likely find more problems here. I’d say it’s worth seeing on the big screen though.

That’s up to you mate, if you are gonna check it out, it would be best to see it as loud and as large as possible. Overall I found it quite an awkward and clunky watch, but most people who seem to enjoy it are fans of the manga and anime, so it seems to have done justice for it’s source material.

Glad to hear from you again, it's been a long time. The new 4k version of 2001 is great and it looks as good as I can ever remember seeing it. That movie is almost magical to me, it had a profound effect when I first saw it at age 12 - similar to the effect Lord of the Rings had five years later. I hope all is well with you

Yeah, it was pretty brilliant, still need to revisit it.

Haven't been on the site for awhile, sorry for the delayed response. I finished 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, a great book. I am planning on reading more of my Jules Verne collection at the beginning of the new year. We just completed a month-long trip from Seattle to Maine and back by car, a total of over 8,000 miles. We stopped to see a different point of interest everyday, including Yellowstone Park, Badlands, the Smithsonian, and much more. It was a nice trip and we are planning on doing something similar next year. Right now I am reading the UK 60th anniversary edition of Lord of the Rings, it is my favorite edition. The grandkids are at our house for the week, so we are having a good time. Hope you are also having fun as the days get shorter.

Sadly not, didn't play near me at all. October has been a bit crap for films here, the only standout film I've seen was American Honey.

Yeah a few people on here were really raving about it and I don't get it. It's a competently made enough Gangster film, but it's wallowing in it's own self-importance.

American Honey is currently my most anticipated of the year, also got Swiss Army Man (that Daniel Radcliffe film as a farting corpse) coming out in the next couple of weeks.

Such a shame! I think it's fantastic, wonderfully cynical, surreal, dry and deadpan, everything I want out of a film, and certainly modern comedy.

Spoorloos has been a film I've been dying to watch, it's not avalible hi-def over here and Youtube copies tend to be pretty low-res, but I'll continue to keep an eye out for it.
